I had tried to leave the prevoius post with a pix, but it kicked back ... so I entered just the text. Didn't realize it had posted anyways.

Hi Again,
I do have a pair of new KYB GR-2's for Civic 1200 - part numbers and fitment below:
#231005 - Right rear #231006 - Left rear
1975-79 Honda Civic 1200, 1300 Sedan
1975-77 Honda Civic 1400, 1500 Sedan
The only thing is ... these are gas filled struts and when the packaging restraint is removed the piston should rise slowly to about 3/4 full extension. But ... on one of the struts the piston only rises to near 1/2 full extension. As such I have been reluctant to post these.
If anyone is interested let me know and I'll list them in the classified section. Will try to upload pix in next day...or you can send an email for pix.

The GR-2's for 78'/79' Civic's have long been discontinued by KYB. I bought a set for all four corners sometime in the early 90's and have only one back-up pair of new fronts.
As spares for the rear I bought new KYB oil filled struts from www.classiccargarage.com sometime early last year; the last pair they had.
Wish I had better news ... I really liked the GR-2's and looked everywhere to get another set. Andy

You bet ... he's incorrect.
I have KYB GR-2's on my 78' Civic CVCC - KYB fitment part numbers: 231003 (left front) 231004 (right front). These should be exactly the same for 79' Civic CVCC.
The GR-2 struts for the Civic wagon in 78-79 were different.
