If you evere visited WWW.1stgencivic.com it was there for about 6 months in the freeware version. I removed it because of limited space.
This site is not connected in any way other than members here have projects and photos on my site. As well information was also pulled from the old archives from this board to keep important information at hand for all to view.

There is a simple and free search engine that can be obtained for this site. The administrator of this board would just have to add the code to the site on one of his pages. Check my site at the bottom of the index page. Its just like using any search engine.

Is there really any point? I'd like to see the search function on PHPBB compete with this board. I'm sure there are a few yahoo groups and whatnot, but this board just serves the purpose. PHPBB probably takes up a lot more bandwidth and DB space than this board as well (since it's so graphically fancy and account driven). For the amount of traffic on this board and he amount of archived posts that would be lost in the switch, I don't think there's enough to warrant migration to a new BBS layout. If it ain't broke..

Jeff, that has been put up for suggestion before and the owner of this board is really busy and just doesn't have the time to elaborate this site. Though Richard did have it up for sale a few months ago......

No disrespect to anyone here or anyone that has made this board, but has anyone thought about maybe upgrading the message board to something a little better? I assume that this site here is in conjustion with 1stgencivic.com. www.lunarpages.com has a great hosting plan of about $90/year. It includes more stuff than anyone can ever use, one of which is SQL's. It comes with a pHpBB message board built in that is awesome, flexible, and easy. This would be a very valuable asset to the 1st gen Civic community - much like this site already is.

Just my opinion.
