Hi All,
Some pix of rear wiper stuff from 78-79 CVCC parts book. The washer bag Jonathan is seeking is in the fist pix.

Ok, I took some pictures of the parts...
What you'll need for the rear wiper is the following:
Motor:
Wiring:
Wiper, wiper arm, and motor cover:
And the switch in the dash:
The rear washer bag is the same as the front, but I'm still looking for the black plastic cover for it. I may just wind up getting creative with the mounting and hiding it somewhere.
Should be an almost bolt-in, other than the two holes that need to be drilled.

No joy with the 2nd gen wiper motor I'm afraid. I had a look at one and found that when I offered it up to my 5-doors hatch the motor and bolt holes seemed to be in the wrong configuration and there was an extra space for a third bolt on the motor that wasn't present on the car.
Other than that it was a pretty good fit!

Oh yeah, haven't checked out the second gen parts, but the pictures on slhondaparts.com don't look like the 1st gen stuff. You might be able to make it work, though. Best bet if you can't find one that was made for a ist gen Civic, you can get a similar size motor/wiper from a junkyard and splice in the wiring to make it work with the original switch.

The only thing that'll interchange with the 1st gen Accords is the wiper switch itself, maybe the wiring harness (with some modifications. The motor, wiper arm, plastic cover, washer assembly, etc. is totally different. I didn't get around to installing it yet, hopefully this weekend. I'll post some pictures of it all tomorrow.
Also, one thing I did find out, is that the front wiper switch and rear wiper switch for the 75 and earlier models are connected by a cable that I have no idea how to remove. Looks like the later switch would be able to fit into the place of the 73-75 switch with the same harness and work fine. Might look a little out of place, though.

I know of a first gen accord and a second gen Civic (81) with the rear wiper set up. Anything you need off them that may interchange? Let me know.

Actually, that's on my to-do list for today Hopefully I can get around to it. Looks like all that has to be done is to drill the two holes for the wiper arm and the washer nozzle, then everything bolts into place. I've also got to run the wiring harness as well, but the switch is already in my dashboard. Should go to the left of the choke on the 76 and up models, and to the right of the steering column on the 75 and older models. I'm still searching for the black holder for the washer bag though. You have a line on any rear wiper parts?
