Yes, the gear on the end of the dizzy for the Mugen right angle drive has one less tooth and also turns in the opposite direction to the normal gear that runs off the cam.

Why bother making mounts? I have a few poly dog bone mounts left imported from OZ.

a mob here in Aus did it by running it off the Cam,Broger Honda in Victoria I thik, and the Mugen right ange drive set up, I beleive, Adrian may correct me, has one less tooth on the distributor cog... food for thought

thats what i want. if anyone has one for sale let me know. i have a 74 civic (non cvcc) i would make the mounts from the mounts on my car. and i believe the mounts are all the same for all the first gen civics . i could make the dogbones any length (if needed).

Oh yeah, and if the polyurethane mounts that you might make will fit on a CVCC, I'd be interested

Back in the day, there used to be an angle-drive distributor conversion kit for sale. Instead of the distributor coming out at a right angle to the camshaft, it converted it to run parallel to the cam.
angle drive distributor picture snatched from Randy's site!
You might be able to fab up something similar, or see about running the distributor right off the cam somehow on the passenger side of the head. I'm not too familiar with the 1200's, but I'm sure something can work. There was even someone on this site a while back from CA (John, can't remember his last name) who built his own distributorless ignition for his 1200.

the distributor on my civic sitts to close to the turbo. and i was wondering if it was possible to move it to the other side of the motor (where the fuel pump is). i have an electric fuel pump and the pasage is blocked off right now. i have seen pics of the honda city turbo motor and the distributor on that car is on the #4 piston side of the motor. if this is not possible is there any one out there that has a distributor turn that they are willing to part with. i work in a machine shop so if there is a little fabricating that might need to be done that would be no problem. speaking of machine shop i have been looking into making polyurethane engine mounta and doge bones. if any one is interested please post or e-mail me.
