I'm pretty crazy about my 79 civic and have (slowly) been restoring it to its original state (for as much as that is possible anyway). I'm not at all knowledgeable on engine rebuilds / performance modifications but I can put you in touch with the guy who services my 1200 engine block. this guy is the son of a mechanic (he's one himself) and essentially learned his trade on 1st generation civics. he's currently employed at a honda specialist/mechanic place. his passion for honda (engines) is something else.

If there is anybody who can help me with engine rebuild/performance mods for this engine in melbourne or victoria and other eb civic nuts in victoria please e-mail me or post a reply. I drove it on a trade plate last night and it needs plenty of sorting. My first honda was an eb1 with a webber/exhaust but i now want to get serious with this one. Any help would be gretly appreciated, thanks.

Hey everyone just thought i would introduce myself. I live in melbourne australia my name is james. I used to work at a honda wreckers when i was a kid and have owned a multitude of quick crx civic and delsol vtec hondas. Buying a house meant no more toys but that has just changed. A phone call from an old mate at the local wreckers had me down there quick smart. For $500 aud i am the proud owner of a 1972 honda civic with a jdm spec zc 135hp motor under the hood. And yes it even runs!! Now for an engineers report?????
