Monday around 7:30 power had come back on and as of tonight.....I now have cable.YYYEEEHHHAAAWWW
So all is going back to normal, everyone is o.k.. 100 m.p.h. winds is not recomended to anyone, and I hope nobody has to go thru what I did!! I checked with my uncle on the civic center, and all faired well.
I just want to thank all of you who posted and those who didn't for your responces and help to all of us in the wake of charley. Lots and lots of random acts of kindness from people who don't know you, but want to help. IT WAS TO COOL TO SEE THIS!!!Thanks a bunch Rick

Well, Charlie is almost upon us in Fl., and all my civic's are at my uncle's house not far from where I live. Hopefully, they will all be o.k.. My only worry is, his entire property is surounded by, and inhabited by sand pines. They are all tall pines, but sand pines are especially brittle. we have not had a storm, or winds like this in 44 years when Donna passed thru.
Now some of you might think my aprehension is overkill but damm it has taken years to build up the inv. of cars (and carcases) that I have to play with. My uncle and myself have named his barn the civic center.74 trunk, 76 hatch, and three 79 hatches. All 1200's
they are anticipating winds of 55mph+ where I live, so I won't sleep much on friday night. hope this storm affects no-one else......Rick
