Kirt, I haven't found any positive information yet. Looking thru old posts, I found one with the keywork search called "Sway bar - pics" that shows that bar mounted. You cannot see exactly how the front of that bar mounts but it made me think.
I believe the heim joint coming off the bushing at the front of the bar is supposed to go to a longer bolt that was put thru the front of the strut rod bushing. Use the nut from the bolt to hold the heim joint in place. I seem to remember having to possibly do some filling (spacers) with washers or creating spacers with drilled out nuts.
See if that works out while I keep looking.

Butch, I have the matching front bar as well none of the aluminum bushings you speak of just the four brackets on the sway bar. I imaine I could make some bushings out of rubber but never got around to mounting them anyway. I assume the front bar replaces the stock sway bar?

JMS, I tried mounting my rear one once but gave up as the exhaust I have in the car got it in the way. It mounts like Butch was saying onto the he "ends of the strut rods." Those grey brackets in the pic mount at the opposite end next to the gas tank but thats where I ran into clearance issues with my exhaust. Plus, I never got that other bracket. Guess I should have mounted it before I had the exhaust made up.

Got any pics of that missing bracket Butch?

Kirt, that sway bar is from A&T Engineering for the early Civic 1200 cars. It fit on the rear of the car with the flat plates on the ends fitting over the ends of the strut rods that fit under the lower control arms and the bushings going forward to where the strut rods connected to the body. There was an additonal bracket that bolted to the front of the strut rods for the bolt to attach to.
It actually worked fairly well. The accompening front sway bar was not so well made, with aluminum blocks taking the place of bushings and undercutting the bar to allow the blocks to ride in and limit side to side movement. The undercut area became the limiting factor in strength as that is where the bar would twist, not the full diameter area as it should have.
I have one of each sitting somewhere in the shop, but I don't know if I have the install diagrams or all the parts with them. I will look around and see.

The sway bar I have on my 76 cvcc has the L bracket mounted as in Fritos pic ,but uses 4 bushings and has the bar above the bracket.The bar is bracketed to the body through the jack recess.

Just went to check the rear sway bar I have installed on my '78 Accord. The angle bracket is mounted on the outside of the LCA upside down from what you show. This allowed me to mount a bushing above and below the bracket as well as above and below the sway bar with a small space between the inner bushings.
This arrangement is the traditional one that I have seen on most cars (mustangs, camaro's, etc...) and allows the bar room to move as it should.
With the setup you have the bar will be binding because there is no room for give with the arc of the LCA while driving.

On my Addco rear sway bar the angle bracket was mounted on the outside of the control arm with the corner of the bracket set tightly against the lower lip of the control arm. It was rather like the first picture, but different. I think the important part is to make sure the angle bracket is firmly attached to the control arm so that all of the displacement (movement) of the control arm results in strain (bending) of the sway bar. The way you accomplish that is not too important.

They included two bolts, but their length doesn't help clearance...Also, the threads go all the way up the bolt, this gives me the idea that they would be more likely to snap under load.

What you guys think is the best way to mount to the LCA? straight bracket on top, or L-shaped under the lca?
