Not all GN are 5spds.A GN 17XXXX would be a 4spd. An early 5spd would be a GN 86XXXX a later would be GN 88XXXX.

Well I tried my hardest to find my code myself through here, old posts and on 1stGenCivic but am unable to confirm whether or not I have a 5spd. Through the posts I have read that the GN is a 5spd and that it is one of the better ones to get, I now have it installed and can find all my gears except 5th. Trans is an 80 Civic 1300 GN15XXXX

I checked my Honda CVCC Civic parts book ... looks like #2 GD8205309 is a 5spd that fits 1979 CVCC Civic 3dr sedan.

Number 1 as far as I know is a 5 spd from a 80-81 1500 civic. Any help with number 2 and 3?
