i live on the gulf coast in mobile alabama.and the car was in my grandmothers garage for like 15 years or so. so its in primo shape. i just need help finding a moter and transmission. any advice? thanks man

well see i dont know what kind to doi? what do you suggest. it would be nice to go fuel enjected but your right about the lines and mounts. uhmm i just want it to be fast. but yeah. i have a few months to decide what engine and what to do ya know. I'm still doing body work

What kind of engine swap are you looking to do? The older model Honda engines are easier to fit, they're as close to a bolt-in as you can get. If you're looking to swap in a later model fuel injected motor, you're going to need custom mounts, customized wiring harnesses, custom fuel lines, etc. It depends on your skill level and how much time you're willing to devote to the project.

hey everybody me and my dad are rebuilding a 79 civic 1200. andthe other day i took off the bumbers, lights hood etc. there is very little rust to fix wich is good. im makeing a new front end and doing more costom fabrication on the body and stuff. i want to do an engine swap but have no idea were to begin on that. anyway any help would be greatly apreciated
