Sounds like someones "custom" work. Mabe they felt unsafe with one bolt so they put in 3? hehe. my 78 has the "one 10mm" setup.
Cheers

it had three bolts at the bottom, then at the top it had a hook tyupe deal where the seat had to be lifted out of them, the only way to lift the seat was to take the bolts out.

ok i figure it out, and thats not how it came out. there were three 9mm bolts holding in the back of the seat in. and then the bottom just slid out, it was in there with some sort of glue. but thanks anyway. but yeah not knowing how to get the seat out. thats before i really looked at it. when i was taking off the bumbers i completly dissasembled the bumper. i didnt know that you could just remove the entire bumper from the impact cylenders. but its cool i see where your comming from but im learning more and more about these little cars all the time, thats why i got into all these forums, and you guys are awesome you really help me out alot! thanks (not sarcasm)

Malcon... sorry to be a ass.. but if you can't figure out how to get the backseat out.. how are you ever going to get a complicated motor swap done?
PS: fold the upper seat to a 45 degree angle and lift up on the passenger side at the pivot point and it will come out the lower cushion is held in with 1 10mm bolt and flips up and lifts out..
