had to put the points back...and car ran like a dream
besides...why put a computerized little gizmo instead of keeping your old school car , old school :)

I've been very happy with mine. One died when I screwed up the wireing but besides that it's great. The Dwell is much more stable and the spark is more consistant. It really smoothed out my idle and I think I have more power with it. I can't guess why Goodriver would sell his. All my time on the board I haven't heard anyone complain.

If you don't like Pertronix there is an easy electrical ignition conversion using a 1300 distribtor. Instructions are on the board.

I read somewhere that pertronix is junk...

points gap: 0.4 - 0.6 mm (0.017 to 0.022 inch)

Yes, they have a balast resistor. Try pertronix ignition. It is WAY better.

Guys,
Can anyone tell me the recommended points gap for one of these? Also, do they use a ballast resistor with the coil? Keep burning points, not sure why...
Thanks
