Sounds like the second gen cars. The 1500x is probably a 1500DX, USA only. 1300 would be the base model. Both would have CVCC style engines.

they were a little square but not as much as the late 80s. the 1500x was an automatic...and the red one was a standard but i dont know if it was a four or five speed.
they were both two door hatchbacks
and the tail lights were shorter and wider

ok last night i was driving around and found a honda car workshop in my town. out front were two old honda civics. on had 1500x on the back and the other had 1300
what are these cars. what engines are these and should i be intrested. it would be nice if they ran and i could get the engine out of the 1500! anyway are they good ?
