Kurt, looks like you got it right. I had a set of the alloy wheels sitting right there and didn't think about trying them until I saw your post. They fit pretty well...
Looks like I'm gonna need to find another set of center caps for my other wheels, I don't think I'm gonna cut these to shorten them.

Don't think they're alloy wheel caps. Think those were tapered and were of the tap-on kind of variety used on standard 12" steel hubs.

Are they caps for the aluminum wheels?. It looks as though that brownish ring is the same thickness as an aluminum wheel?

I've got a set of center caps that were in my Civic when I brought it home. Not sure that they came off of, but I'd like to get another set if I can find them in a junkyard.
If anyone knows, please let me know. If you've got a set for sale, even better
