FYI,
I played with the Special X option when I made my white face gauges. They were easy to do. Just darken the blue background to black and change the white to red. The hard thing to do though is having the light shine through the red numbers Easy to do with the white one as its the background you are illuminating - not the numbers.

Sorry, no pictures of them lit up, I haven't installed them in a car yet. I'm pretty sure that they just have the numbers and markings lit up orange, and the rest black. I was going to scan in a regular tach face and try to match the colors with the speedometer before installing it. I guess just give me a few weeks, and I'll see what I can do about disassembling the gauges and scanning them in, if you want to go the photoshop route.

I got around to digging out the boxes that the gauges were in. If you wanted them in MPH, you'd have to scan in the faces and change them in Photoshop, then find something to print them out on. I'm thinking a thick plastic would work pretty well for gauge faces, but I haven't tried to run any through my printer yet. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have time to take the gauges apart and scan the faces in. if you're willing to wait until then, I can e-mail you the files.

All the Special X cars were Canadian, so the gauges were all in kph. I've got a partial set somewhere (speedo, center temp/fuel, but no tach). If you want, make me an offer, I'll see if I can dig them out of my parts boxes.
