FYI - every year the PIR (Portland race track) in Portland hosts a huge auto-related swap meet featuring every kind you can think from the last...oh say about 40-50 years to now. I went there few times and do remember seeing a couple of '70s Honda cars once back then. That was about 8 years ago I think.
Great swap meet! Covers entire track by sq ft...so many people swamping around. Would take you all day just to go around track ONCE! I might think about going there in summer 2005 and try my luck in finding something.

Oh crap, guess I should have mentioned this, NOT MINE. I was pretty sure Frito knew this as he has seen my car and my budget =) so I neglected to mention it. Anyways the owner is a local guy, I heard about his car from another 1st gen owner and had to go check it out. I'm not exactly sure what class he runs in, but I'm pretty sure it said GT5? on the body somewhere. You name it and its been done to this car, mugen crank, mugen header, complete dry sump set up, I don't know about who made the cam but its probably custom judging by the guys budget, sweet quad throttle body fuel injection/ standalone engine managment, fully stripped interior with a great cage setup, and as you can see from the pics all the suspension is custom made, using accord knuckles for the Fastbrakes setup, 4 piston calipers up front, 2 pistons in the rear. It was a beautiful car, I still drool over my pics every once in a while, one day....
well thats about all I can remember right now, I'm sure more will come to mind later

of seeing and talking with 1200 racer owners. I remember a lady that races with the ICSCC that runs a CVCC and another gentleman that races an Accord. However, this past October race, I missed a GT5 Honda Civic 1200 black with red livery that was there. I really like the car and I assume the owner is from Canada and comes down for the ICSCC (Conference) races. Anyway, if someone can give me some info on this car I'd appreciate it. Just curious on what has been done to it and would like to ask some questions of the driver.
