That would make sense. Problem is i brought 2 plugs back from the wreckers. One for the clock and one for the radio, not sure which is which now =S
Plug one:
Black
Red - black stripe
Yellow
White - blue stripe
Plug two:
Red
Yellow - red stripe
Gray
There is also a black wire which is bolted to the casing of the radio and runs to ground.
As the clock im pretty sure has 4 wires, that would leave the radio with only 3, does that sound right? It has 4 pins on the back, but im not sure if all 4 are connected on the inside...

Colza I have a couple of those, but they are not close by right now. But I thought the speaker wires were gray and the power was black and red.
What color are your wires?

Just got it installed in my dash, almost fits perfectly, but it doesnt seem to be quite sitting right. I MUCH prefer it to that silly little plasic cover that used to sit on the left hand side (always wondered what was meant to go in there).

I came accross what i think must be a GL civic in pick-a-part the other day. Was very interesting to go over it and see all the extra bits its got like air-con etc. Anyway, one of the things i have aquired from it is the 'in-dash' AM radio. A really funky contraption with mechanical station presets
it has 4 wires on the back, i was wondering if anyone knew what each of them was supposed to be connected to? I would just play around with it, but dont want to blow it up if it does still work.
