I would call Elgin they are more application specific than some of the other cam manufactures and this can greatly increase your chances of getting a good set up. They will want flow numbers of the head. I flowed a stock Eb3 head and the numbers still might be on the board somewere, but you should flow the intake and exhaust of your head to get better results.

Don is right about Delta cams being sloppy. I have had a few and one hardly would run in my car so sent it with my good running grind (a former product of theirs) that the oil drive gear had failed on and then they coppied it and it ran as well as it had before the oil drive failed. Its presently in my 1200 with RS and a header and it runs better then the 1360 almost everything the same. Don, What cam would you recomend for a 1360CC EB#3 with RS intake and exhast manifold fresh rebuild larger exhaust? I want a strong street cam.

Neat.. thanks for the info.. I guess us newbies gotta start somewhere.. Kind of wish I didn't live on a tiny island with a total of 5 civics on the road, it'd be nice to stand around and bs over someone elses car for once.

A header or the civic RS manifold
The RS exhaust manifold you will have to talk to Lazy because he bought the last ones known in the world :) or www.kirkracing.com/ used to make a header I'm not sure if they still do but its worth a phone call. I have no problem doing another custom header run for S&S again but we have to get 20 people with money in hand to do it.
Then get a Mandrel bent exhaust system.. not the crush bends. The reason is is if the area constantly constricts and expands it uses up energy that should be pushing your exhaust out the tail pipe. A low restriction muffler of your choice.

Intake side is harder the weber DGV is better than stock but its float bowl design and the cruddy adapter most people use realy do not do the engine any good. In the late 80's Grass roots motorsport did a project 1200 and the gained a 1/2 second 0-60 using a single side draft and cannon intake manifold on a worn bone stock eb2 over the weber DGV and adapter. I have an RS intake setup for sale but they are kind of in between the Weber DGV and Weber DCOE side draft performance wise. They are responsive and street guys like them but they starve for for fuel in corners when you get real serious autocrossing.

Don, you wouldn't mind laying out what to buy in order to upgrade the carb and manifold, and who to buy it from would you? :D I'd really like to know :)

Just adding a cam probably wont make a big difference and you might loose power if the rest of the engine is not up to par. Start with a header and a weber on a engine thats in good shape first.

Thanks, Don.. good to know..
How does this work.. do you send them your old cam, or do they make you a whole new one? I guess I'll do a bit of googling and searching this forum to figure out what all the numbers correspond to. What kind of horsepower difference would a camshaft upgrade make to the car in a mild street situation. I'm not planning on racing a dirt track any time soon :D. Is there any stuff I should upgrade before I consider replacing a cam? I'm so new to 4 stroke motors that I just get a bit turned around when it comes to performace upgrades.

Looks a little hot for regular street use

http://www.elgincams.com/c-hon.html
Has a good selection for the 1.2

http://www.coltcams.com/ Has some good grinds too

Delta cams is the worst choice not because of what they do but they are very sloppy when picking profiles, you can order the same Part # twice and get two different grinds. Thats how I ended up with a new Mild street grind stittng on my shelf....Now on Fritos shelf :)
