Bumpers are shot. In fact in the bootom pic you can see half of it about 20 feet away from the car :). Guess you could use the one but not exactly a look I'm going for.

I did check out the struts and they're not openable and on second thought I'm thinking the car is actually a '76. I believe the production year on the VIN plate I have was late '75 - I think this makes it a '76 model.

That bumper doesn't look too good to me :).

do you think the rear bumper is any good on it? thanx, Mike L.

The 73-74 has a different style but most 75 in the USA were openable too. They are are the best ones to use and the 74-73 insets will not interchange to the 75. As far as the canaidian ones being different I have no Idea. I would at least hike down with some tools and a battery powered sawsall and do some seaching

hahaha that was my first thought as well, I need 1 front to complete a set. One of those looks like it had a small chance of still being good. I think its the left front? hard to tell

Also isn't it only the US 75's that had openable? and not the canadian models?

By Don (199.2.139.224) on Saturday, November 13, 2004 - 04:53 pm:

Ohhh Ohhh remember 75's have the openable wet struts but they may not be any good now.

No bones. Just rocks, gravel, wood....and bullet holes.

I don't know if many people know its even there. In one picture you can see a train bridge off in the distance. The highway is actually behind it a little higher on the mountain.

A friend of mine was working one day and spotted something yellow down by the river. He went down to have a closer look thinking it may have been a stolen car abandoned down there and upon going down found this. He ran the VIN but there is no record of it anywhere, meaning the car has been abandoned since the late 80s early 90s.

No idea how it made it there but based on the condition of the car it looks as though it washed down from several miles up river. If the river gets high enough this spring it will probably move again.

I would hope it was pushed off the cliff by someone outside of the car. Someone being in that is a little too gorey for my liking. Did you check for bones? =P

Surprising that the province hasn't had it removed long ago. Any idea how long it has been there or even how it got there? Looks like it was driven off a cliff.

Incredible...hard to believe that metal whatever is left in that heap still survives! Considering the years it was under water during the winter months and out in the sun on river bank in summer months...it's amazing 8o

Notice one rim that's alumiunm? that actually shows us how well it stands against time and weather.

I've got to have a look one day on my trip to BC! Yah, got to be the most wrecked civic I've seen...

amazing what a river will do to a car.. I'm surprised that there's any metal left.

Not too many useable panels left on that one :).

This has got to be the most wrecked Civic I have came accross. The car is located in the Fraser Canyon of British Columbia just south of Boston Bar on the banks of the Fraser River. It can just be seen several kilometres off the highway but is only visible in the summer months as its under water once the height of the river rises. I took the VIN plate off it and its a 75.
