Gentlemen:
I just called Car Parts Wholesale. The customer service rep with whom I spoke stated that both the 1979 CVCC passenger-side and drivers-side fenders were no longer in stock. Further, he said that they would not be available in the future from that company. These are their part numbers 1291 and 1292 respectively. He was confident that those listed were indeed for a '79 and the car shown on the web-site is simply a generic photo.
What other suggestions can anyone offer? It would really be nice to go with a new fender and quarter-panel on this car's passenger side.

That's the site, give them a call to make sure that they're available first, and to make sure they'll fit your car. The picture they have there looks like a 2nd gen, but I don't know if it's a generic picture or not.

One thing to be careful of is those fenders in the link are listed as fitting a 1200. The CVCC fenders are about 2 inches longer than the 1200 fenders, and won't fit.

Mike:
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I just checked both and did not come up with any applicable items. Myautobodyparts appeared to go back to about 1980. JC did not show any body parts that I noticed for first generation CIVIC's. If you have a moment, perhaps you could double check. I can easily overlook stuff on web-sites.

I wish, I'm in the need for new quarters myself. There is a place out there that sold new (probably aftermarket old stock) fenders for $35 or so. I'll see if I can find the link somewhere. The quarters are probably best off a rust-free donor car. If you're in California or the south, you probably have a much better chance to find a good donor compared to the Northeast or Canada.

Yes, that is correct.

Do you mean the front passenger FENDER and rear passenger QUARTER panel?

I need to replace the front passenger-side quarter-panel and the rear passenger-side quarter-panel on a '78 CVCC hatchback. Are there any sources for new body parts such as these?
