You can enter the web site here:

http://world.altavista.com/

and it'll come back with a pretty poor translation, but enough to get the idea of what he wrote.

Thanks again for the compliments. Yes, I am very happy with it but it never really ends does it.

The wheels are Carroll Shelby wheels, I believe some company paid to use his name in the 70s or 80s. I have seen them in other pics of Civics on this board so they are around.

Jonathan, Check you email. No pcv valve just an air breather filter on the cover. The washer bottle is on an angle as there is no bracket there to mount it, it had the bag originally. Dont know why I mounted it on an angle-just seem to fit better.

Richard, can you do some more translating for me, he changed the narrative. Thanks!

Kurt, very nice! Makes me want to get working on mine all that much more. Just gonna be a little cold over the next few months. Could you take some more pictures of the carburetors? I'm planning to do a similar setup, and was curious as to how you hooked up your throttle, chokes, and power brake booster. Are you running any sort of PCV valve on your motor? Is that the stock location for the washer bottle? I seem to remember that you could mount them vertically in the engine bay, not on an angle like that. Maybe 'cause mine is a CVCC.....

How goes your search for A/C parts?

Kurt, that's a VERY cool (or kool?) car you got all dressed up! Good job, well worth all the months you spent getting it massaged for driving around.

You have to let me look at your car while I'm in town this month. Drop me a line and see what can be done for a meeting!

Again, a good site you got set up - I've read all thru. :)

Those are awesome pictures Kurt! Hope to see your car again in real life sometime soon!

Lol, I guess he had just as hard a time translating Kurts site. correct me if I'm wrong but those rims were 13"? and technically its dual carb/quad throttle bodies isn't it?

I like the coment about the cluster being on the wrong side, thats pretty funny

here's a rough translation:
This type of car is slowly gaining popularity abroad. These images were sourced from Kurt Bosnell, a Canadian resident. Of course, I do not have an acquaintance with him. I found this car through an internet website. It was a prominent first gen website. Once thought to be long dead, the first gen honda civic is being restored almost everywhere. This car is attractive while it still looking original, it wears 15" wheels, the first civic I've seen running quad carbs. I love the beautiful canadian scenery!

pic1- The Stunning First Impression
pic2- It is how 2dr spec trunk model of the 1200. Interesting mags.
pic3- The instrument panel is on the opposite side. the radio/heater layout has not changed. faces seem to be white.
pic4-More than adequate carburetion.

Hope I did that some justice

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I like the original green as well, but this is a metallic paint off a '97 VW Golf (bright surf metallic green-base coat/clear) instead of the acrylic enamel.

I ran the carb with the velocity stocks for the summer - with no filters. I know its bad, my mechanic buddy kept giving me crap for it too. I like the look of the stacks and was thinking of fabbing up a removable foam element. The car is hibernating for the winter and next spring I will probably fit some Ram-Flo filters on there.

Isn't it beautiful! I always thought of spraying a Civic the Green that was a factory color on the 80-81 Accords which is close to that green, but then again that might be the Honda Aztec Green they used on later Civics and Integras...or close to it. But the way Kurt, and please don't take this as an insult, 'cause it is not meant to be...but...You must get air filters on your motor. Back in 1970 I purchased a brand new Triumph TR6 (for 3,700.00US). Somewhere I read that by taking the aircleaner off and replacing it with "velociy stacks" I'd gain 4HP...unfortunately they failed to mention I would also suck the rings and bearings out of the motor in less than 40,000mi. They look pretty, but you really need to filter the air. A few horse power are not worth your motor. Other than that I still would like to know what mods you had to make to fit the EL motor into your 1200 body. I tried it but couldn't get the bottom mount to work with the larger motor. How did you pull it off?

I never thought that green would look that great on a Civic.... Until now!
Love it!

Kurt, what a beauty!!! Body, paint, engine, wheels, interior, where to begin? It all looks great.

Are you using any kind of filter on the air horns?

Dan

I figure I am overdue for pics of my car. The site is still in its infancy and will remain that way till I get some better web building software, but here it is. For some reason you must use Internet Explorer to view it, its not working with Netscape - few bugs to work out. It was built with a high speed connection in mind so it may take a while for pics to load on dial up.

I'm not trying to build anything as in depth as Randys, its just for fun.

In case it doesn't work here are some pictures:
