He bought a 79 mid-engine Civic from Steve Voras and the car was white. Rear bumper was removed, relief filled in and painted. No front bumper. Front fenders were fiberglass. Mid engine installation was accomplished by using a second sub frame and making a sheet metal framework very similar to the way the front was tied into the chassis. Shifter mounting area of the chassis was cut out and relocated further back. Shifter shortened. All shifter linkages, suspension bushings and motor mounts were replaced with Delrin bushings. Motor was the 1200 with an extremely lightened flywheel, balanced rotating assembly, ported head, headers, Weber DCOE, optical ignition, may have Vanolia pistons (had them, but didn't use them, gave with the car), a really hot Cam, and adjustable cam gears(made by Steve Voras since that kind of thing really wasn't available back then . Rims were stock but had wide sticky tires. If someone had the car still, it would be unmistakeable based on the mid engine mod. Steve would love to find out what happened to it.
Any sightings?
Seasons greetings
