I did a really nice job of it today (i even put the wires in split loom to make it look finished... it's tight to the body now and the bass is ten times as potent as when it was just floating around the cargo area. Only broke 1 drill bit.. :DD I'm diggin this car now :D The fun factor has multiplied by about 10 I'll post pics of how to on civic77 soon..

Hahaha, all my installs have taken up the entire boot. The best way to stop them moving is to build them to fit the boot

I'd use L brackets.. If it comes loose in an accident you did something seriously wrong. There aren't any fuel/brake lines anywhere near where you'd be drilling.

Hey guys I got a really nice system hooked up to the car now.. it rocks.. I've put everything in place and it all sounds good, but I want to know what the final word on securing the components is. I mounted the amp under the seat onto a piece of particle board and then bolted the particle board to the floor. So I think that's pretty secure.. The sub is still just floating around in the trunk. I faced the sub toward the passenger side wheelwell and pushed it right up against the corner. Now I want to secure it. Should I use an L bracket or two on the sides of the sub cabinet? Is there anything critical under the trunk? gas lines? brake lines? electrical? I've looked on other forums and they all seem to favor the lbracket, but I don't know if that's really secure enough. I really don't want it flying through the windshield if I ever crash or something..
