Hey there,

Ted, apology accepted.

Update on car. It will be getting:

--a new fuel pump (supposedly new in the box) from eBay, (thank gods it wasn't the carburetor again)
--radiator rebuilt by specialist shop
--new fan belt

And I saved a chunk of change over my usual shop by going to The H Shop (www.thehshop.com) in Kirkland WA. The main guy there, Todd, has done me right on a couple of big jobs so far. The whole shop seems to be Honda specialist; they even do Honda motorcycles.

So, when I'm financially in a position to move to another vehicle, it will have just that many more 'perks' going for it.

Butlerea, Sorry about that. I appologize for any problems my post may have caused. I emailed Richard to ask that he pull my post.

Although obviously this on is in PA and I'm in WA! :-)

Hey Ted,

Thanks for setting it up so my address can be harvested by spam bots. There was a reason I did it like that.

Ted:

thanks, but don't apologize. It's not your fault that spammers are out there.

My appologies to you Ed.

by typing an email address in full... it is now subject to potential spam robots and spam emails. robots search for the @ symbol in discussion boards, and when it finds an email address , it sends it junk emails.

I have received a few emails as a result of my email being posted in full at this discussion board.

I'M THINKING OF SELLING MY '79 CIVIC THAT I'VE HAD SINCE '97; I'M THE 2nd OWNER. I'VE LOVED THIS CAR AND RIGHT NOW I'M TRYING TO GAUGE INTEREST BEFORE I PUT IT ON EBAY. I KNOW THIS MAY SOUND WEIRD BUT, WITH THE MONEY PROBLEMS AND STRESS I'VE HAD, I NEED TO GET A CAR THAT I DON'T ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT! PRELIMINARY INFO:

-130K, Japanese crate engine installed at 97K
-1200 engine, no frills
-will come with original engine taken out at 97k, ready for rebuild
-no under-hood mods whatsoever
-4 speed
-blue inside and out
-clean interior, almost 'immaculate' given age
-"DynaMat" meticulously applied the entire inside of car 'pan', except for doors and more dynamat material for you to complete project (photos of project as proof!)
-has had two major body repairs since my ownership, done by a *very good* shop that did top notch work attempting to preserve all original parts whereever possible
-paintjob looks bad, very minimal rust
-garaged just as much as I possibly could
-*not* driven on salted roads (not done on WA)
-currently anticipating some serious work under the hood - which is why I snapped and decided to put this up here - fuel pump, radiator rebuild & flush, fan belt replacement, few other things
-would come with FULL repair history while it was in my ownership
-other odds and ends as I have them

Please email me at: butlerea AT u DOT washington DOT edu (sound it out!)
