Well, I rather have the lock-out there just to prevent any gear grinding when I pull out of 5th. So what I need so far is the following, complete pedal set, shifter, shift linkage, transmission and that's it. I have a clutch cable.

The 4-speed linkage is slightly different than the 5-speed. The 4-speed will work, but you lose the reverse lockout that's built into the 5-speed linkage.

let me look around here, I might have the linkage boot and all too. gonna probably be sat. sfternoon or sunday till I get out there, I know I have the shifters, just gotta get one put back together, the shift plate is still available thru honda for about 25 new, if you want my plate (it is brand new from honda) I will charge you what I paid for it or you can order one. if you know where the 4 speed linkage is that will work on a five speed.

You are a great help Bruce. I would love to purchase the complete set of pedals, that would get me one step closer to installing a 5 speed tranny in my wagon. I guess after the pedals, I'll need the clutch cable and tranny. How much would you charge me to get me that tranny? Oh, I will also need a shift linkage, plate and shifter. I'm in San Diego 92056 if you want to check shipping charges.

Bruce, I tried taking off the clutch pedal only from a 5 speed civic, it won't fit on my Hondamatic pedal holder, it's not long enough. I need to get the whole pedal shaft to goes along with that. Do you have the whole assembly? Part of that assembly goes to the passanger side to push on the brake master cylinder.

I'm still looking for a 5speed tranny if anyone wants to sell me one. I'm in San Diego

I wish you were closer. I could realy use that 5 speed, clutch cable and pedals for my hondamatic wagon. Could you at least ask how much they would sell that for?

I'll buy the gauges and wood stuff off the 5-speed if they're not already spoken for. If either one of them has A/C, there's a few small brackets that I can use too.

5-speed models have the deluxe gauges, wood wheel and shifter, cig. lighter and rear defrost standard. Those parts would be worth grabbing. They also come with the floor console that's a bolt in for 4-speeds. Other than that, not much was available on the 5-speeds that wasn't available with other models. Check to see if it has A/C too.
