depending on the quantity of stuff you have, look in the yellow pages for plating companies. I have plated all the factory stuff for my car in the yellow zinc for about $70 us. I plated every bolt for the engine, tranny, suspension, headlight buckets, dist hold down, brackets, etc. They look new!!!!

I know I've been at this forever! I have my stuff stuff sitting in a light acid to remove the rust, but now I'm not sure what to do with it. I need to coat my parts with something, but I dont' want to use paint. I'd like to use something as a basecoat before I apply paint that will chemically prevent rust. For example I need something to coat over a nuts and bolts.
Any ideas?
