I'm in the U.S., so that probably wouldn't work. I think we're gonna have to convert all of them to electric and do a remote setup, which should be cool anyways. We ight as well shave the door handles while we're at it

well it is illuminated. it had a chrome bezel but it didnt look right so i painted it black to match the dash better. its also got 4-5 different button colors.

Malcom is that is the Ignited button? If so there is a replacement blank black insert for the button. You could even make it illuminated or even neon. Chrome bezel ring or just plain black. These parts are available from an electrical distributor and are possibly lot cheaper too.

well i have a battery switch im installing under the heater controlls so even if it did get broken into the battery would seem to be "dead". but yeah i like it.

I was literally thinking the EXACT same thing. weird. I may have to do this mod when I acquire that abandoned 1500 S. The previous owner through out his keys, so we'll have to do keyless entry and probably some universal key switch for the ignition plus a starter button. Unless anyone's got ignition locks/key sets for a 2nd gen?

hey. today i installd an engine start button. ive just always liked them. they kinda give the car a little more of a racecar feel or somthing. i dont know what im talking about. anyway it fit perfectly inside the raised circle that surounds the knobs. somehow it looks stock. what do you think
