No, i do actually have an EL head with the correct port config and everything. But i am still unsure as to which route i will take. I am in the process of building an custom, intake manifold to work with my current CVCC City Turbo motor (there is no head swap you can do on the ER series), so i might investigate re-using that. Other wise i can just weld up the cvcc runners and save myself a whole lot of hassle by going with the EL head =P

The possibility of running an aftermarket controlled CVCC system still needs investigating though, because there are a whole heap of city turbo owners over here who are stuck with their injected CVCC heads!

Anyway, so is there a seperate little carbie for the CVCC runners?

Yeah, if you disable the cvcc on a cvcc head, you still need at least the standard stoich mixture getting into the cvcc ports anyways, so really easier just to switch to the EL head, unless you've already got the EK w/ you.

well technically you could use a constant running jet of the fuel supply/rail and play around with the orifice size to get the best power. why do you want to keep the CVCC? if you have a 1.5l ED or EM1 series engine you can get an EC head off the CDM and EDM 1.5l or use an EL/EK combo as CVCCx2 mentioned.

You don't need the cvcc system to function for a running car. Weber conversion kits always lose the cvcc, so if you just run straight injectors for all 5 ports and just pretend it's another cylinder, I wonder if it would work?

yes there is a mini throttle plate on the front of the carb about the size of a dime which feeds the cvcc ports only.

They are a pain is the a$$. Find yourself a Canadian head from an Accord or Prelude (EL?) and use that setup, much simpler to deal with.

Hey there, well i know how CVCC in general works and i am trying to solve the problem of how to run aftermarket engine management on an injected cvcc engine. The main problem being that cars with 5 injectors one of which needs to be controlled seperately with its own fuel map are not generally catered for by ECU manufacturers (as there was only one car ever made with this system ). Anyway, i was wondering if someone could give me an idea of how the carbie systems work. Do they have a seperate mini-throttle plate for the CVCC ports like my injected system has? Or something different?

I would go and find a carbie cvcc car here but they are not all that easy to find these days...
