On my wagon, I have a stock rad, on the D series swaps I just found it easier to fit the VW rad.. maybe the next swap will stay factory :)

Thanks Justin, I'll give that a try . Apparently, Mugen programs are supposed to have the VSS disabled in them, but I've tried about 6 different programs and have had no luck, I guess this will be the way to go.
Have you thought about using the stock rad (have it recored first with a better flowing core), move the upper neck to the far side and then mount a fan on the opposite side, ?? it actually fits really good in my 1200, no problems, and it runs alot cooler than before
Thanks again,
Dave

basically, the transmission you are using has a cable output, I took a vss sensor from my B16 tranny and pulled it apart, it has a pin that spins when it's in the tranny, if you remove it, the original speedo cable will fit right in(the speedo head side)and then it leaves you the three wires that are needed to hook up your vss (and at the same time you can throw in a newer speedo head(I use integra units) you can also go with a earlier computer(Mo has a '92 Si ecu, it never trips code 17(no vss) ) Peter has a '95 ecu and it also trips the code 17, I have yet to swap his ecu or build a vss unit..

Hey Justin, How did you go about modifieing your VSS so that your stock speedo cable could plug in to it????? Thats the only thing left to finish off on mine. I've already tried various chips that are supposed to eliminate the VSS and allow Vtec to work, but they have all set the VSS code, and you know what that means, no Vtec :(
. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks, Dave

on the newer honda's there is a sensor that goes in place of the speedo cable, basically I modified it so I can screw the stock speedo cable onto it, and then it has three leads that wire up to the speedo head. :)

hmmmm..... I see , so it's just follow the directions , now about the VSS You need to explain how to do that to me :) Any pics??? Of Twyla's ?:) Thanx Shreck And Justin...

They are still off on my car, In twyla's convertible, the only thing that is stock is the housing, I converted all of the integra gauges to fit into the factory housings, I even added the VSS(vehicle speed sensor)to the end of the stock speedo cable in order to send the right speed signal to the cluster. Wiring is easy, just add + and - and you have it :)

Now my '79 1200 WAS a Hondamatic...Now it's a 5 speed, but I dont have a center gauge cluster :( So the Integra ones will be of No use...Unless Some1 has a spare lying around, if not, I'm planing on getting theses if they fit well.... guages cuz They look sort of the same as the stock 1's(Hondamatic) atleast in the Gas and Temp gauge :) and sorry for writing TOO much... :(

By DaRk (66.50.181.84) on Monday, March 14, 2005 - 09:54 pm:

Nice Nice....:)I could see the ones for the gas and Temp are seperated, for the center gauges...But if I'm not mistaken he has a ZC stuffed under his hood so he shouldn't have any probs. connecting it....:(

Thats a very good question Dark, I am not too sure but I am guessing that it can wired into your running lights (inverter)
Justin would know the answer as he has done a few of these setups.
This picture is the reverse glow for an 94 Integra GSR.

Thanx Shreck...Oh...and how are they connected? as to say they light up? :)

Dark

Here is the info for the reverse glow pages:

Justins wagon:

Indiglo gauges originally designed for the 93' and up Integra GSR, they are the same diameter as the originals, the tach is off (it reads 9k when your only doing 7K)the speedo is a direct replacement for Canadian gauges (60KM/H =60MPH, 140KM/H=140MPH) So if you just look past the MPH sign you actually doing that in KM/H ..the temp and fuel gauges are off by about a 1/8 at the extreme empty and full spots, so 1/8-1/4 is empty and 3/4 to 7/8 is full.

Twyla's convertible:
EuroLite Indiglo Style Gauge 94-99 Integra

Hope this will give you an idea of what to look for in guages.

Yep they fit but the scale is slightly off. I had pictures of them up on the site but but those pages have not been uploaded yet to the new server.
Justin has them, also for the center cluster guages, I think he used the Acura Integra ones, not sure what year though.
