Hi,
My name is Dan Zimmermann.
I am on the Vehicle Selection Committee for the 2005 Eyes on Design automobile show located in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. The Theme for this year's show is International Design. The category that I am responsible for organizing is Postwar Japanese cars. Believe it or not, we have never had any on these cars at our show before. As a member of the Zcar club and a fan of Japanese cars, I thought it was my duty to throw my hat into the ring.
The Eyes on Design car show was put together to honor vehicles of significant design/design excellence and as a benefit to support services for the visually impaired. Since Detroit is the automotive design hub of the mid-west, we have a great deal of participation from the big three- Ford, DiamlerChrysler and GM. As of late, we are trying to get more interest generated by the other car manufacturers in the Detroit metro area. Namely Toyota Honda and Nissan.
The focus of the show is the exterior of the vehicle. Do not worry about engine compartment or the trunk, or the underbody. Clean, well maintained examples of these cars are best. The interiors should be presentable, as most people can see some interior from outside of the car.
This will be the first year that Japanese vehicles debut in this show. I would love nothing more than to show the best examples of these cars- (all stunning examples of a beautiful design) - If you were so inclined.
I would prefer to show cars that are original and show quality condition. If you have a "tuner" version of any of the following- I may be able to submit your car in another category.
We would like to show one of the following:
Honda
first generation Honda Civic 1973-1979
The show is located in Grosse Point Michigan at the Edsel Ford estate- June 26th, 2005.

Eyes on Design location and details - see website
If you were interested, I can give you more details about the show. My deadline for getting these cars registered is April 15th.
Please contact me as soon as possible, as we would like to sign people up and register their cars for the show. If you have any leads to any of these cars, I would appreciate some assistance.
Please call me if you know of anyone willing to participate in this show.
Sincerely,
Dan M Zimmermann
