A 76 will be an EB2, not an EB1. As stated ... WHY?, it's a downgrade!
The EB blocks do not have provision for the front engine mount that the EN uses and the EN crossmember is not designed for the EB bottom mount so you'd have to muck around with the front mount a bit. The back mount bolts on without a problem.

I think you need the need extra mounts on the front and rear of the engine. But I THINK the brackets for the mounts bolt into the block, or they MIGHT bold onto the tranny bolts....
Anyone?

But why??? yeah it should almost bolt in but the upper mount/ torque mount might need mod/fab for length.

can a 1976 engine(EB1) be fitted to a 2nd gen 1981 honda civic(EN1), if so how much work is required?
