I had to very carefully squish the o ring in with a tiny screwdriver, then once its all even it should pop right in. The oring must have swelled from oil but it still fit barely. What a pain it was...

Use a little bit of dish soap on the outer side of the o-ring only, mine slipped in no problems when I did that? Avoid oil though as it can make the rubber swell.

Well if its anything like my EL, you have to have the water pump apart to do it. You slide the pipe in from the back, then install the O-ring, then pull it back till it seats on the tapered bore and bolt it down.

i've been trying all kinds of different things, but the water pipe that runs into to the back of the water pump just won't go in. if anyone has any bright ideas, thanks.
