Here are the pics of the Legend master and booster Justin installed in my 76 hatchback.
Pedal pressure is much firmer and I can get all four wheels to lock up with only 1" of pedal travel!!

I don't know, I was at the local yard one day and came across a '89 legend. So of course I had to try it

I bolted on my 1200 one off my parts car this weekend. I will probably be looking at doing a 4 wheel disk conversion later on, but for now i just wanted to get the thing driveable. Bolted on, no problems, all the lines are in the same place. Flushed 10 years of rust and scum out of the brake lines and it works!!! But there is still 10 years of rust on the pads and disks, so it the brakes sound kinda like you're pouring gravel into a tin can =P but they go!

That's it.. bolts on, re-bend the brake lines to the pass. side of the master, On my wagon it slipped right into the firewall, on Jason's '76 we had to die-grind out the hole a little(there is a lip on the master which hung up on his) the bolt pattern is the same, and voila you can stop on a dime (Remember we have 4 wheel disc conversions)
Jason will be posting pics

the only time you hear squishy noises is when there is air involved right? otherwise it should sound silent.

Time to upgrade.. We just did Jason's '76. We went with a Acura Legend Booster and 15/16" master. Stops on a dime now

there have been a few new master cylinders on ebay, you can salso stillget one thru your local parts store, I looked at getting some rebuild kits because I had like 10 of them laying around, is cheaper to just buy a new one than get a rebuild kit.

When you push the pedal down, you can hear a squishy sloppy noise from the master cylinder. Sounds like its just stirring brake fluid instead of pumping it. Im pretty sure thats the problem. I have checked all the lines and they are fine =)

if your master is shot, really go through the brake system and verify that the calipers and wheel cylinders are sealed and that the brake lines have no cracks in them.. a friend of mine replaced his master only on a beater thunderbird, but all the wheel cylinders were rotten, so he lost his brakes and rear ended the guy in front of him something fierce. make sure the ebrake is tight too... another oversight he should have thought about.. the pedal going to the floor could also mean air in the lines..

Will a 1200 master cylinder bolt up to a 1500? My new car has no front brakes at the moment! Pedal goes to the floor and makes "im stiring brake fluid" noises. No leaks and plently of fulid there.
