I have that same header as Jim. I believe I got it from Greg(gearhead). and if I remember right, he thought it was an AT as well.

Looked at the picture again S&S has different flanges so its got to be something else.

Kirk racing makes headers, at least they did until a year ago thats the last contact I had with them. That header looks like the old design S&S to me. I will measure the New S&S The old design was 1 1/4 tube primary the new run 1 3/8 OD

I would like to know the length of the primary tubes and their diameter. Also the collectors ID.
A long time ago, I was tracing down the jig for Jacksons header. I traced it to Bassani, then Bassani sold it to Jim Surely. His phone is or was: 714-897-1641. Jim held onto it for a few years. Last time I spoke to him, it was gone. Where?, I dont remember. If someone wants to try to find out what happened to it. This is the only lead I have for the Jackson header. I always liked the look of the Jackson header. Anyone looking in the rear view mirror just knew your Civic wasnt for getting grocerys!
Someone found Serge Harabosky? What, did he freak out because someone found his number online?
Heres a picture of the AT header I have:
I dont even know if it orignaly came from AT. I got it from someone that was nice enough to send me them after browsing my website. Said if I liked them to send him $45.00 I think it was. I did. I never worked on them until now. I call them AT headers only because they match the design in AT`s catalog that I have.
I was happy with the performance from the Thunderbird unit. If you think AT had bad quality you should see the flame cut flange on the Thunderbird headers. Pipes are nice and so is the collector but the flange,..eeeeessshhhh. I want to send out both headers to get coated at the same time. I finished making a bracket that will hold either of my headers around the collector to keep the engine rocking from cracking them at the flanges. Is someone wants, you can also try bugging Thunderbird for a group buy for headers. They still might have the jig. Someone will have to look into that.

I have a new set of S&S's in the box what dimentions do you want? They are a 5 piece design but the latest run was a different design. I re did the design specs and it was a much more responsive header, throttle response wise than the old design that it replaced. They still require a bit of grinding on the front crossmember but nothing too serious.

I dont know about supply chain but every AT product I have owned was well....Lacking.. . Very sloppy workmanship. If they out sourced the headers consider yourself lucky. One board member was unlucky enough to track down the Old Fart that used to own AT Engineering a few years back ...Rude is an understatement when he was called to ask about Honda 1200's. One Guy thats still around time permitting is Oscar Jackson and he is a realy nice guy and still has time for us 1200 folk. He was trying to get some parts up and started for the 1200 a few years back, but a few flakes here and a busy schedule put a stop to that.

I pulled out my set of AT Engineering headers today. I am thinking of putting them on the car in place of the Thunderbird one I have on the car now. The AT`s need some repair. I am going to repair them and send them out to get ceramic coated along with the Thunderbird one at the same time. My headers need to last!! One tube on the AT unit has a crack and the 2 lower tubes were dented. I got the dents out today.
Anyone using a set of these AT headers? How are they performing for you? The tubes are larger diameter then most of the headers I have seen for the 1200`s and shorter. 1 3/8" OD and 28" long to the collector. Did they fit nice between the block and front subframe for you or did you have to roll the lip on the frame?
These AT headers baffle me a bit. I have an old Grassroots Motorsports article. In the article they build up an old Civic and buy a set from AT and Jackson. They describe the AT set they bought for their project like the ones I have from Thunderbird. They say its a 2 piece slip together design just like my Thunderbird unit. Yet, in my AT cataloge. Its clearly a 5 piece design (look in the toys section of my website: http://www26.brinkster.com/drzoom/toys.htm ). The AT headers that I have are the 5 piece design like on my site. Anyone old enough here to know what AT was selling back then? I know that Hedman headers made headers for he Civic back then too. What design did they use? Was Hedman the supplier for AT? Was it Thunderbird for a period of time? Did AT make them in house? Just curious if anyone knows.
Can someone post a picture with dimentions of the S&S Headers for me? I would like to know what design they use and what the dimentions are.
