Yes, they have oil in them and about all the Hondas used the same coil according to the parts store when I bought mine.

think I might have an idea as to why my tach is bouncing now
looked at coil today and noticed it looks like it is leaking oil unless somehow oil managed to spray from the motor right under the boot going to the dizzy
so I'm assuming I need to get another coil as these things do have oil in them correct?
any recomendation on getting a coil from another year honda or should I just get one for my 76 accord that is stock for the ef1?

If it is an aftermarket elecrtically driven tach then you either have a problem with the tach system or an actual problem with your spark.
If you did not notice any loss of power then it is probably just a tach issue. Check for a bad connection or wire between the coil and tachometer.

I was driving down the freeway doing about 75mph down the freeway doing around 3300rpms and the tach started bouncing around like crazy going around 2800- 3800rpms even though the speed stayed the same.
this if for my 76 accord
so far the points are new with dwell at around 51* last I checked, wires look new though haven't checked them out yet, plugs are gapped at .40 and are new plugs.
I'm at a loss and looking for any ideas
