Ahh, fair enough, mine is a '75 1500.

Do 1500's have different diameter rear struts to the 1200's?

Actually, im not sure that question makes any sense if all the 1200 had the bolt together rear end...

Standard 78-79 1500 stuff if your 1500 is not the same then its an earlier version or some ones swaped it out.

I have the same rear end on my 78 1200 Hatch back. I was told the origional rear end was swapped out and a CVCC rear end put in place because the origional 1200 arms were rotted out.

I changed my rear struts and springs and the CVCC fit perfect so it must be then. :)

Who would have though I would see that again on a 1200. I am not the only one driving a half breed. jeeheee

I don't remember what the rear end of a 5-door EB3 looks like but I've definitely seen that rear end on 1500s.

Bah, the confusing world of Honda sub-model variations =P gotta love it!

Hehehe, well heres some interesting news =P

These are off my 4-door 1200 EB3

My 4-door 1500 non-CVCC has the same rear end as every other 1200 ive seen: with the bracket welded to the strut that then bolts to the hub.

And by 4-door i mean 4-door hatch (5-door? whatever =P)
Definately not the wagon because it has McPherson rear, but it has 2 more doors than a 2-door hatch!

Colza, you might post a couple of more pics from different angles, but I think they are the same as were used on later,('78-79) CVCC 1st Gen models in the USA( except wagon of course).

That's the rear end of a 1500. When you say 4-door 1200 I assume you mean a 5-door EB3 as there was never a 4 or 5-door EB2, only the 4-door 1500.

rear hubs

These are off my 4-door 1200, I have never seen another EB with back suspension like it, but it should make the fitting of performance suspension MUCH easier. Currently looking at EG civic sedan fronts, they are only 1.5mm too small in diameter at the bottom and they are a shorter strut.
Anyway I would very much like to track down another set but i have no idea where im gonna find them =/ anyone seen them before?
