check out http://www.civic77.com in the tech section Richard took some photo's and goes over it. I also think Schreck (sp? sorry) on his 1gcivic.com goes over it....maybe its time to upgrade to 4x100 4 wheel disc brake....just an idea

ball joint? wheel not balanced? my old 80 accord that problem. Nothing fixed it and I spent money on it...to much....

So does it do it at certain speeds when driving or only under braking. You may need new rotors...maybe there warped. If thats the case you wouldn't feel it on the stand, because the wheel would shudder with no feedback through the steering wheel.

Wheels just balanced (yesterday), both front wheels rotate freely after brake application (car on stands) No shuddering with e brake only application. Interestingly, the symptom does not show when braking with the car on stands, perhaps pointing towards worn/shifting suspension component(s)...thoughts?

Wheel balancing off, sticky caliper? does it do it with the e-brake aswell? try slowing the car to a stop with the e-brake, you can then determine front or rear

OK knowledge base, when I apply the brakes with light or moderate pedal pressure the steering wheel shudders back and forth. If I apply the brakes with a lot of pedal pressure it doesn't shudder. Noticeable about a month ago and slowly getting more noticeable, no work done to the car previous to problem. Brake pedal does not pulsate upon application. 79 1200.

Any ideas or experiences before I start inspecting?
