With a larger pipe and aftermarket muffler, you'll probably haveta go under the arm. its all good though, mine went under and never touched.

flex pipe can be got thru JC Whitney cheaply, I would recomment one, I busted my headers because of no flex pipe, just my 2 cents.

If you can get a 4 2 1 exhaust header to 1.75" pipe back, I have read performance goes up a fair bit. That would mean no flex pipe, but if you look under classified on this site, read about the RS header, maybe you could get involved with that.....then you just need a straight pipe (with resonater depending on local law) with the bends to get it over, and up above the arm, then weld on the chrome muffler

Eric,
The pipe on our 75 civic goes above the arm. All the other upgrades sound good.

I have a purchased a 1975 civic cvcc hatchback, and it needs a complete exhaust. There is no flex pipe, and the muffler is gone. My thought is to have a flex pipe installed, and then have the pipe bent at a muffler shop. I am thinking of one of those import mufflers, the crome ones, or something like that. Also, does the pipe go over or under the right rear lower control arm, the space seems very tight there, and the current pipe is tied up under the arm, but looks like it should be above it for the muffler instal.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks, Eric
