Randy!
That's awesome that you found that link to old discussions about my car. WEll i can vouch for the fact that i did get it $4000. Originally it sold for $4500 U.S but i guess the guy backed out so they called me as i drove to T.O with my dad to see it in person before the auction ended. It came with all documentation including the original reciept from Feb 11/1977 for the car. At the MTO on theused vehicle package it came up with one owner from Feb 1977 and then now me. It really is the true milage. IT is in awesome shape. I had it apprasied last year at $5000, but as we all know it's what's someone is wiling to give you that determines the price. I really don't want to sell it but money is tight so I may put it up on ebay over the next week or so.I just gotta replace the fuel pump. Thanks again Randy!

Hi my name is Cam,
I'm new here and i guess I'll just intorduce myself.
I live in Ontario. I have a 1977 Civic hatchback with only 22,000 kms on it. Yeah you read right. Only 22k on it! i'm the second owner from an old lady in Toronto who stored it for 23 years. It is sweet sweet sweet and rides awesome! It's the Hondamatic version. Anyways 2 questions for everyone. 1st is my fuel pump was shooting gas out the little hole where it breathes???I guess that means it's busted right? and then secondly, how much do you think my baby is worth? It's mint. red, i can't say more..it's just mint. Thanks for your time and looking forward to meeting many people on the fourm!

So then the control arm is messed up..? hmmm.... I have a complete donor car that I'm gonna get in these days.. it's a 79 1200 with a 4spd tranny the body is shot , no good but I could still take parts out of it...

your lower control arm failed.....you will have to try and get a new one, try majestic or slhonda, I actually got two brand new ones, they were 100 bucks a piece but should last another 30 yrs. you can also get new axles from a parts store, or if your lucky enough to have someplace that rebuilds cv axles take it there. hope you can get it back together with minimum costs.

Well guys..I just took off the axle yesterday from the tranny and took off the boot and guess what the bearings are F***** , (sorry) anyways...all of the balls are out of the "cage" rolling around in the boot.so that's one on why it doesn't move , found out also that my balljoint is wasted also.Cuz check this out, I loosened the center bolt on the axle, loosened the rack and pinion took that out, and I just pushed down on the front control arm and the balljoint came right out of the socket...
and I'm talking about the ball , isn't the threaded part supossed to come out? instead of the ball?

Thanks Mike... ummm and through where do I put that in? Well to tell You the truth..Yesterday morning when I went to pick up my Girlfriend, when we were about to leave I turned the wheel and it made a strange noise. and it kept on doing it whenever I turned the wheel completly to turn left(the car not being in movement/stopped). So I decided to check that out today...but what luck that that decided to happen yesterday, I called a tow truck and asked for $90..
but she's back at my house now , so I could start working on it.

By DaRk (66.50.182.207) on Saturday, May 21, 2005 - 09:44 pm: |

What happened to me today was like the worst that could happen to any1 , Well... I was on my way to the beach (almost a 2hr drive) from my house , so I'm almost there , when I'm going to turn left at the light, I turn and like in 2 min. My civic comes to a complete stop..Imagine what happened....My passenger wheel came off. so when I got off the car I looked under andthe balljoint came completly out of where it's supossed to be.
Plus the axle that goes into the trans. came out of the trans. too. And all of the Trans. fluid came out...what to do....
