You have to eventually take the glass out right? or just take the complete hatch off? :) have the link?

I bought a kit years ago for an old dodge charger. All but one of the stips worked great. That one just never heated up. It was really easy to put in as well.

They make full new kits to stick onto your glass. Just take a sharp razor and remove the old stuff completely. Then re apply the kit and plug in. As long as the wiring is good, you should be laughing :) - with that said, I haven't used it, my pops just told me they make them when we started restoring our 62 tbird.

is there any way of fixing it? :)

By Jarcaf (Jarcaf) (207.55.238.216) on Monday, May 30, 2005 - 10:31 pm:

Mine's the same way. There's a section of conductive striping that looks burnt near the hot side on my rear window. There is a ton of resistance through that. Basically, you just use an ohmeter w/ a good point and touch the striping to look for points of very high resistance.

How could I troubleshoot my rear window defrost , becuase when I pull the switch the light turns on , but it doesn't heat up... :(
