I know, I would have taken the whole thing, I saw 1 on ebay, but it was in Idaho, just would not be cost efective to get it here. I plan on keeping this car in the garage during the winter, so hopefully no rust ever again. They use more salt flakes here then we get snow flakes. Thanks again for all of thew time you are putting into this. I will show all the progress as it goes along.

Thanks,
Eric

I dont have e-mail (Home computer is down) but I did remove the fenders seats and hood this morning. I have a guy comming to the shop to cut out the panels. I am going to cut out areas bigger than you need and then take that down to the UPS store to see how much shipping is. I can always cut the panels down but I figured its better to have too big a section than too small. Its a shame you can't just pick up the whole body it would save lots of work and there is not a drop of rust that I can find.

You have to copy the corner-top (latch sides). I cut mine with a razor blade mitered to match originals. They bend everywhere else. Nice fit and keeps the glass from wind noise.

Alright, just ordered 2 window run rubbers, I take it they will bend up easy to stay in the channel?

Thanks

Window runs (felt) can be bought through JC witney # SF184884T you will need one per door. They work really good.

You wont find any good 30 year old rubber at least I have never seen any. The pictures are ok

Hey Don, I sent the pic's to the email from your shop. If they are unclear, let me know, I will try to get something better. I also need some rubber if the car still has any. I am looking for the body side rubber for the hatch, and the rubber just below the roof line for the hatch. Also, could use the window runs if they are in good shape.

Thanks, Eric

That sounds ok, I guess the civic is spared for one more week. Send me pictures of what and were you want cut out, then I will check on freight costs. If everythings ok then you can pay by cc and I can have it palleted in a few days.

By thebige73@yahoo.com (Ejl2002) (68.23.161.250) on Friday, June 10, 2005 - 06:39 pm:

I would have around 350.00 or so to spend, So if you feel it would be possible to work around there, I am a willing buyer. I need the rear bumper, drivers rocker and drivers floor behind the seat most, the front part I could deal with out. Even if you used a saws all, that would be fine, I can clean up the rest here.
I am located near Chicago, zip is 60025 for shipping, and it would be a buisness address. I understand if it is to much work, so feel free to let me know either way.

Thanks for your time Don,

Eric

Ok here is what I have run into before, people want rust free body parts but they seem to disappear if the talk of money rolls into the picture. I have a 76 civic thats on the trailer to go get smashed, but it takes time to remove panels, seats get the thing up in the air etc.... In fact like I told one guy the panels are free but I'm not giving away my shop time (I am short of that already and if there is some extra I'm working on my own projects :) ) and I have to rent a plasma cutter. Or I could have a local body shop do the work but thats more $$$$.
Then shipping rolls into the picture ..... So the panels delivered to your door could run a few hundred dollars give or take a hundred.
If your serious give me a call or leave a message if not that's ok too. 541-535-9305 but its gone to the crusher tomorrow morning by 8am

I have a 75 civic undergoing a resto. I need the floor from behind the drivers seat rear support to the front of the back seat, and from the rocker to the tunnel, if anyone is willing to cut this out of a car. I would like to get an original piece so it has the riggity from the ribs in the panel. Also needed is the lower front valance (bottom of core support) from were the fenders bolt on at the bottom and then as far up the panel as can be cut easly, staight accross. The left rocker is also needed but this may be a long shot. One last thing, maybe a good rear bumper. If I am nuts, let me know, if you guys can help, let me know.

Thanks,
Eric

Also, how do you post pic's, I tried to cut and paste, it did not work
