Different combos work best with different curves, you can ask all you want but the best results come from the "mad scientist" mind set try different things, develop and accurate way to prove out your findings and record the results..... But pioneers get arrows in their butt from time to time.
Thankfully an engine only knows that it has spark at the spark plug so EN, prelude, etc is almost 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other. I don't like spacers etc also so I use the pertonix..... you know it fits because it sits inside the original distributor. The EN wouldn't be a bad choice either providing you can source one in good shape reasonable. The "curve" is something different than what you choose to fire the plug. It has to do with the proper advance at the proper RPM, if your not sure what this is you may want to leave this area to the engine builder of your choice (Bryan Maloof does my stuff, reasonable)
Colt cams has a nice little street regrind as well as Elgin cams. ARP rod bolts are a plus in what ever rod you choose (1200/1300) but require trimming the length or they will hit the main girdle.
EB2 heads are my fav, with some work but you have to be careful with valve clearance! They are a much shallower head.

Best bet is the EN1 distributor, bolts strait in,no spacers, easy to wire and cheaper than aftermarket.
If by rods you mean push rods are little civics don't have em.
If your talking conecting rods, get yourself an EN1 and use the crank and rods for your EB2 build.
Better yet, slap an EB2 head on an EN1 block and see what ya think of that!

so would it still be worth re-curveing it?

I have read some post's with Bruce Don and Adrian...of course So, I am basically building a simple mod EB2. Header and down pipe is done. Now I believe shave the cam 15 degree's each way and re-curve the dizzy.
So my question is, if I want to change to an electric dizzy some people mention EN1, accord EK1 and upto 83 Prelude...or Pertronix Ignition from Classicgarage.com. What will any of these do to my curve?
As well, is grinding the cam that easy if you use the stock cam? no need for different rods?
