'80 and newer studs are a 1.25 pitch, the original studs are a 1.5 pitch. :)

-Thanks eh.

So Jay...your knifeboy huh, I thought you might be farenheight101...believe me Jay, as you saw, we have bigger fish to fry than 4x100 swaps right now....hahahaha you basta#% hahahaha your kill'n me :)

Kyle: Shouldn't you finish your homework before playing on the computer??? BTW, I lubed the whole damn thing. Just can't see the rest of it. MMMMMM baby... gotta love the lube. heh heh :)

Nathan: all I remember about replacing the stud is that you gotta take everything apart; calipers, rotor, hub, etc.... and somewhere in that process a slide hammer is involved. The slide hammer is for pulling the hub off. Mine were a bit stubborn and my measely 140lbs (fully clothed and soaking wet) wasn't enough to boot-f@%# them out. Make sure you've got a trusty hammer cuz after the hubs are off there's a lot more boot-f@%#ing. I'm sure Justin or someone else will be able to give you a more detailed run down of what's involved in replacing the stud.
In short it's quite a bit of work involved. That's why I suggested the upgrade alternative. Maybe instead of going all out with the 4X100 conversion you could start with swapping the stock 1200 brakes with stock wagon brakes. You'll retain the 4X120 bolt pattern while gaining more braking power!

Ignore him, He's crazy =)
I'm not sure if the thread pitch is the same or not, but I have a few spare brand new studs laying around from my swap, your welcome to em if you ever swing by.

ps, jay why does it look like you lubed the exact wrong part of that pad? its covered in the middle where you don't need it, and looks dry under the caliper? silly man

i agree, thats what i needed to know....almost. If it is almost the same investment...I will do it, money well spent i think...I don't know much about brake systems...I have just gone through learning EB2, EN1, ingnition modification ...anyway ... I'm a body work back yard fix it guy gone mechanic so bare with me :)

I have read a lot on 1stgen and seen a lot of post's here...and I am still not grasping it..So what all is involved with a 75 civic 2 door hatch..stock front end? Lets start with that since that is a need at this point....then I will get into rears, wagon cylinders and the rest of it, yoi. Photo's would help to...but I'm easy, any help puts me more ahead then yesterday..

Hey Nathan, this is the perfect opportunity to go 4x100. :) Forget fixing the old hub, just upgrade it to something newer, followed shortly by rear disc brakes and bigger rotors all around, then wheels, then suspension..... and so on. ;)

One of my wheel studs is busted right off. How do I fix this? is there a part number? or can Local parts stores get new rotors and studs?
