thank you for the email and you have a reply

I am seriously thinking about the webber though or some other aftermarket carb

what I'm curious of is if I get the adaptor and carb what else would I need?
do I have to use the dgv series or can I make a dfv series work?

also would the 32/36 or the 38 work best? and what would the difference in power and gas mileage be between the two?

last thing is does anyone have one they would like to sell in already to go form? if so email me on that part

lol I have been without driving my car for some time now prolly close to month to 2 months by now.

still debating as to which route I should take. one thing I like about the aftermarket route at least is it seems to be a lot more parts availible as well as information but then again I'm not so sure about availability right now as I haven't been able to find any for decent price.

and as per advice might also look into getting a canadian head if I can find one to give me a few more options as long as I don't take a big hit in gas mileage. I'm not too worried about smog as we don't have any testing in my county.

so at this point guess it all depends on what information and parts I can come up with

also how much would you want for rebuilding this carb?

If you can find a stock carb, or do without yours (not drive your car for a week or so) I will rebuild it for you. You understand the logistics involved, it might be a last option, but it is at least an option. --I have not found one locally yet.

well from talking to a few other ppl and seeing everything that was going on seems I am off to doing something with my carb
either need to get it rebuilt, buy a working carb off someone else, or replace with an aftermarket carb like a weber, delltoro, su, mukini or something.

I'm at a little crossroad as to which way to go at this point. I don't really want to lose the gas mileage and if anything would like to get a little more gas mileage out of it but also wouldn't mind getting a little power out of it as well which seems like an aftermarket carb would be the way to go with that situation. and it seems as though it would get rid a lot of that cvcc junk under the car. my worry with it though is I can't seem to find any places to get the carbs and the adaptor for a somewhat decent price.

as far as rebuilding my carb I wouldn't even really know where to start as the only carb I have rebuilt is an old quadajet and they look like a piece of cake.

and getting a working stock carb isn't that easy either unless I go to an autoparts store and fork out 400 bucks for what would be an iffy job at best it seems.

so guess I am asking you guys what I should do here and what recomendations you guys have for a carb I should go for.
