Definitely agree with that. I've never actually had to deal with a 1500. I owned a 4-door briefly that I bought for parts. Never drove it, scrapped most of it including the engine. I've been offered a few 1500s for free. I always say to just call the scrap metal guy as I don't want them...

Thanks for all the inputs/ help/ guidance on my starting issues and possible fixes. But during my little bit of research, this EK engine is supposed to be an "1800" and puts out 70 HP? It's original CVCC engine has been replaced and I plan on replacing this EK engine with 1 of 3 Honda engines I have in my garage back in California. I just want to get this engine running and driving enough to drive onto an auto transport to go cross country.

I am leaning towards my supercharged B18C1 but I also have my old racing Civic Type-R engine from the UK that I brought home which I would love to swap in there. Also, there is a D16Z6 which I need to assemble that could be a candidate but more than likely not...

Does anyone have a schematic/diagram on how to remove the resistor ballast system since I am using a new coil and my distributor has an electronic pick up? I'm thinking I'm not getting enough spark to even start the car...

Any help will be greatly appreciated....

Well I dove into the carburetor yesterday and tried to see what the hell is going on with my fuel flooding issues. Now here are some pics of what I found.

I am using a spare carburetor as mock-up. When I took the top off the carburetor that is in my wagon, I only saw 1 fuel squirter like this, pointed to the front bowl part of the carburetor.

I placed a dual squirter in place like this one and I don't know if that is correct. Do our engines require both bowls to squirt fuel into them? of just the forward bowl? or just the rear bowl?

Check the float height.

Google float height for 32/36 weber or 5200 holley/weber.

Why a k20 from the UK, is it the price?

A little backstory... I was stationed in the UK for a little over 2 years and while I was there, I bought an EP3 Civic Type-R (which is made in the UK) and used that as my daily driver/ racecar while I was there. Raced the heck out that car at Castle Combe (UK), the Nurburgring (Germany) and my favorite track, SPA-FrancorChamps in Belgium. When it was time to rotate back to the states, I pulled the motor/transmission/ Hondata 4 ECU, crated it up and had it shipped back for free.

Originally this engine was supposed to go into my 1995 Civic Coupe to replace my trusty supercharged B18C1. Then I bought a 1982 VW diesel MK1 Pickup, then this was going to be my swap. After I bought the Wagon while I was stationed in Florida, the gears started turning to trying to put this engine in the wagon. Now that I retired after 24 years of service in the Navy, I have the time and hopefully the means to complete this swap in 2018.
