We have lift-off! I took my own advice re the relay/coil, and the engine 'started' first time! I say 'started' because it only ran for a second and then shot a flame out from the top of the carb, but that's a whole other problem. I'm just very happy to know that all it needs now is a serious tuning

I think the regulators are the same. If they look the same, you can disassemble them and compare the two to double check. The top comes off easily.

i'll start with a pic:
If, for the moment, I want to bypass/remove the Fuel cut-off relay and just have the pump operating when the car is switched to ignition, how would I wire the coil? Would I just remove the wiring indicated in blue?
This image from a previous post about the en1 electronic ignition conversion seems to suggest I'm correct, but the image is small and in a foreign language so I can't be 100% sure.
Any help on the matter will be highly appreciated (as always )

another (unrelated) question: is there a way to test fuel cut-off relays? I'm only getting 3~7v at the pump.
Thanks guys

i'm doing an EL swap, and am wondering which voltage regulator to use - the civic's original or the donor car's?
